Washington Park Disc Golf Course

One of the first courses to be installed in Indianapolis and is still one of the most popular. Designed by IDGC legends Henry Aldridge and Jerry Suiter on the grounds of the former Indianapolis Zoo and installed in 1987. Washington Park Disc Golf Course features 18 holes with rolling terrain, mature trees, and lots of fun. The course is open parks style golf for the first 9 holes but shifts to a slightly tighter back 9. Washington Park has remained a favorite throughout the years because it is a course that all skill levels can play and enjoy.

Brookside Park Disc Golf Course

Brookside Park Disc Golf Course was built in 1992 for use in the PDGA Amateur World Championships. It has since transformed into one of the best courses in Central Indiana. The original 18 hole layout was designed by Jerry Suiter, Henry Aldridge, Scott Hommema, and Dennis Byrne. In 2020 the course was expanded by IDGC to a 24 hole layout. Brookside has always been known for its challenging sloped greens and long low ceiling shots. From the long pads, Brookside is more suited for experienced players looking for a challenge. The short pads offer a nice alternative for newer players or for a more casual round.

Sahm Park Disc Golf Course

Installed in 1993, Sahm Park originally featured 9 baskets with 2 pads on each hole to make up 18 holes. In 2017 Sahm Park Disc Golf Course got a total redesign to make it a full 18 hole course with short and long pads on every hole. The design/construction of the new layout was the work of Dennis Byrne, Tim Tuttle, and Matt Boals. Players now get challenged by 9 tightly wood holes and 9 holes of more open park-style golf. With the mix of wooded holes, open holes, long pads and short pads Sahm Park offers the most variety for players of all skill levels.

Northwestway Disc Golf Course

Established in 2001 Northwestway Disc Golf Course is a mostly open parks-style course on the northwest side of Indianapolis. It features 18 holes with some holes having long and short pads. The majority of the course plays along a popular walking path so it is best to play during the week as the path can slow down your round on the weekends.
